What is Infrared Light Therapy?
HealthLight is a photo-modulated (pulsed, light emitting diodes) device also known as low-level light therapy (LLLT). The 100mw infrared and 4,500 mcd visible red LEDs are the heart of the HealthLight system, providing gentle but powerful non-coherent light. HealthLight uses a carefully timed sequence of settings, known as pulses, to create an environment in which change may occur more rapidly.

The pad is placed directly against the skin where treatment is desired. You will feel a relaxing warm sensation.
How does infrared therapy reduce pain and increase circulation?
Infrared phototherapy releases nitric oxide from the hemoglobin and surrounding tissue. Nitric oxide relaxes muscles cells found in the arteries, veins, capillaries and lymph vessels. When these muscles relax, they dilate the blood vessel, thus allowing increased circulation.
